These require confocal assistant program listed above. This runs under windows.- 1. Human Chondrocytes in culture - "The Greedy Chondrocyte!" WARNING: This file is 8 megabytes. This time lapse video depicts the phagocytic abilities of chondrocytes. These cells are 2nd passage human chondrocytes grown in monolayer. One image was collected every 30 seconds for 1 hour. Note the pseudopod as it pulls away from a piece of debris located in the media. The images were collected on the Bio-Rad MRC 1024 confocal microscope using the transmission detector and inverted Nikon 300 scope and a Brook Industries heated stage. The file sectcho3.pic can only be viewed using Confocal Assistant (see above)

[WARNING: This file is 1 megabyte.] Endothelial cells in culture, loaded with Rhodamine 123 to label mitochondria. The is a time lapse video of images every 10 seconds. The file TI1.pic can only be viewed using Confocal Assistant (see above)

The file wade.pic can only be viewed using Confocal Assistant (see above). Cells are cultured in chambers and run on the inverted confocal microscope. Cells are loaded with Indo-1 (3uM) for 20 min, followed by stimulation with Ionomycin (3 uM). Ratio images are collected over time.
