For murine lymphoma cell lines we observed a higher background when cells
were not washed with PBS after overnight (to 24hrs) incubation with 1%
paraphormaldehyde/PBS. Washed, fixed cells could be kept for a couple of
days without significantly affecting results (we did not test for how long
they could be kept like that)
