Dr. Sharp,

Though I believe it is possible to obtain good chromosome
resolution when exciting with the 458 nm laser first, I would not
recommended it.

I prefer triggering on UV excited fluorescence since it is brighter
(usually 2-4X) and exhibits better chromosome peak resolution than
fluorescence that results from excitation at 458 nm.
