CAP checklist question

I'd like to ask those clinical cytometrists subject to CAP surveillance
(specifically those performing platelet-associated Ig testing, if possible)
about an item in the Lab General checklist. My apologies to those who have no
interest in this subject.

Question 01.1050 (paraphrase)
...is there a system in place to determine the accuracy and reliability of
analytic results on patient samples for which no external proficiency testing
program is offered?

1) *Is* there any external testing program available?
2) How are you dealing with this issue?
3) Have you ever been "called" on this during an inspection?
