Sorry missed your question at the end of your reply

If you want to do surface staining with PI then staining with surface
antibodies, fixing for 30 minutes with PFA then ethanol fixation works OK.
If you fix in PFA much longer the CVs are rubbish. I've only used FITC with
bright T-Cell markers.
