Max analysis rate: Coulter Elite?

Jim -- I tried to make this easy for people to calculate their instrument
deadtime with a simple experiment anyone can do and then to use this
number to see from queueing theory graphs what losses they will see on
their instruments due to deadtimes. The main article, which has been very
popular, is my "Strategies for Rare Cell Detection and Isolation"
(chapter 20) in Methods in Cell Biology vol. 42. Some of this material is
also in the unit on High Speed Cell Sorting I wrote for the newest
edition of Current Protocols in Cytometry.

the archives about the maximal rate that the cytometer can perform
analysis without missing cells due to electronics dead time. I
