Flow Cytometry Core Facility
Research Position (Non-Faculty)
H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, located on the
campus of the University of South Florida, has a position available
in the Flow Cytometry Core Facility. The Core is seeking a highly
motivated individual with excellent technical, verbal and written
communication skills, minimum of a B.S. Degree in the biological
sciences or a related field, post graduate training and at least 2 +
years of "Hands-On" experience in Flow Cytometry and cell sorting.
Sorting experience on a research cytometer (FACStar plus or
equivalent) is required.
The qualified candidate will fill the position of Research
Coordinator and be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of
the laboratory which include: Supervision of core staff and users,
usage tracking, sorting, data acqusition, data analysis, data
management, instrument and project trouble shooting, scheduling,
training, and coordination of equipment preventative maintenance.
Core Facility and supervisory experience is a plus.
The Core Facility provides services to Moffitt Cancer Center Members,
as well as, the Research Community located on the campus of the
University of South Florida. The Core is equipped with two Flow
Cytometers: a FACScan and a FACStar plus.
