ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, LIBRARY AIDE (Temporary) (#244)
6 months to 1 year experience preferred. Responsibilities include researching, copying and processing reference material requests for scientific staff using local school/research libraries. Additional responsibilities include maintaining company library, ordering journals and books, tracking and processing scientific association memberships, coordinating data entry process for references, filing and additional responsibilities as assigned. Must be exceptionally well organized and detail oriented. Must have own transportation. Computer experience required, preferably in a Macintosh environment. AA degree preferred.

DOCUMENTATION SPECIALIST, MOLECULAR BIOLOGY (#257)
Minimum of 1 year experience required, additional experience preferred.  Responsibilities include using the internet, database/data entry, desktop publishing and filing. 1 year computer experience required in a Macintosh environment using Illustrator & Photoshop.  ClarisWorks, Quark Express & PageMaker plus database experience desirable.  Basic science background is strongly preferred.  A.A. degree required; B.A./B.S. preferred.

LAB ASSISTANT, ELISA KIT DEVELOPMENT (#248)
1 to 2 years of experience preferred including production/packaging/assembly.  Responsibilities include packaging plates, filling/labeling vials, inventory maintenance assistance, data entry, some buffer preparation.  H.S. diploma or equivalent required.

PURIFICATION TECHNICIAN (#261)
0-1 years general lab experience.  Duties include antibody purification, documentation control, equipment calibration and maintenance, HPLC, SDS-Page, IEF and densitometry. B.S.  in biology or related field required.

PROGRAMMER II (#165)
Minimum of 2 years experience in 4D programming during at least 50% of scheduled work time.  Responsibilities include assisting with the development of in-house relational databases in 4D to support manufacturing. B.S., computer science/systems engineering/ software engineering preferred.
 

PURCHASING ASSISTANT (#210)
Minimum of 1 year purchasing experience required. Database and biotech industry  experience desirable.  Responsibilities include routine purchasing activities, coordinate with vendors, follow regulations and assist Purchasing Supervisor in managing purchasing information.  A.A. degree required/B.S. in biology or related science desired.

QC ASSOCIATE, IMMUNOHISTOCHEMISTRY (#178)
2 year post-grad lab experience using IHC and immunopathology techniques including harvesting and sectioning tissues, immunostaining and interpreting results.  Industry experience a plus.  B.S. in biology or related science required.

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE, CLINICAL RESEARCH (#233)
Experience required in immunology and cell biology including minimum of 2 years flow cytometry experience.  Cell proliferation test experience preferred.  Responsibilities include  developing new antibodies; performing immuno fluorescent staining, running FACS and analyzing data.  B.S. in biology or related science required/M.S. in immunology or cell biology preferred.

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE,  CYTOKINE, R&D (#208)
M.S. or Ph.D. with 1 to 2 years flow cytometry, 1 to 4 years tissue culture and ELISA experience Responsibilities include developing new antibody based reagents for detection of cytokines and inflammatory mediators, developing new applications, performing QC and trouble shooting for anti-cytokine/chemokine reagents.  Strong oral and written communication skills a must.

RESEARCH ASSOCIATE, RESEARCH IMMUNOCYTOMETRY (#260)
2 to 4 years experience in immunology or cell biology lab required. Prefer courses in immunology, biochemistry and animal physiology.  Previous animal handling and tissue culture experience required. Flow cytometry experience is desirable.  B.S. in biology or related science required.

RESEARCH TECHNICIAN, CELL BIOLOGY (#234)
1 to 2 years lab experience required including protein purification and Western blot.  1 year molecular biology experience including RNA isolation gene cloning and Northern blot. Responsibilities include monoclonal antibody screening, gene cloning and protein purification.  B.S. in biology or related science required.

RESEARCH TECHNICIAN, CLINICAL RESEARCH (#258)
Minimum 2 years immunology experience including flow cytometry and cell culture required.  Responsibilities include assisting with routine cell culture, staining and analysis by FACS.  B.S. in biology or related science required.

RESEARCH TECHNICIAN, CYTOKINE/ELISA DEVELOPMENT (#228)
Minimum 1 year experience with basic ELISA and immunochemistry, including cell culture and sterile techniques.  Responsibilities include assisting with ELISA development, antibody purification and bioassay development. B.S. in biology or related science required.

RESEARCH TECHNICIAN, HYBRIDOMA (#247)
Minimum 1 to 2 years experience with basic lab techniques.  Responsibilities include developing all aspects of monoclonal antibodies including tissue culture, maintaining cryogenic cell bank and prepping buffer and media.  Basic computer skills are required, preferably in a Macintosh environment.  B.S. in biology or related science required.

RESEARCH TECHNICIAN, IMMUNOHISTOCHEMISTRY (#266)
Minimum 1 year experience with frozen and paraffin sections and IHC staining.  Responsibilities include section cutting, IHC staining & animal work.  B.S. in biology or related science required.

SCIENTIST, CELL BIOLOGY  (#242)
Minimum 3 years post doc with strong molecular biology techniques. Extensive experience in all forms of amino assays. Prior industry experience a plus. Demonstrated ability to initiate/complete projects as evidenced by publications.  Strong oral and written communication skills a must. Ph.D. in Cell Biology/Immunology or related science required.

SCIENTIST, MOLECULAR BIOLOGY (#153 & #256)
Minimum of 2 years post-doc experience with strong molecular biology techniques, cloning and experience in nucleic acid work.  Primary responsibility is in new product development.  Ph.D in biology or related science required. (Two positions are available)

SCIENTIST, PROCESS DEVELOPMENT (#241)
M.S. with 5 years experience or Ph.D with 3 years experience.  Strong protein purification and troubleshooting skills required. Responsibilities include overseeing group activities and project troubleshooting. Must be able to work independently. M.S./Ph.D in biology or related science required.

SCIENTIST, RECOMBINANT PROTEIN PURIFICATION (#262)
M.S. with 5 years experience or Ph.D with 3 years experience with protein purification using various chromatography techniques and analytical instrumentation.  Responsibilities include production and  purification of recombinant protein.  M.S./Ph.D in chemistry/biochemistry w/strong molecular biology background required.

SCIENTIST, RESEARCH IMMUNOCYTOMETRY (#243)
M.S. with 5 years  or Ph.D with 3 years bench experience.  Strong background in cellular immunology required.  Extensive experience with tissue preparation, tissue culture and proliferation assay. Minimum 2 years experience in flow cytometry with FACScan, FACS Vantage or equivalent. Strong molecular biology techniques preferred. Responsibilities include new product development and directing pilot studies. M.S./Ph.D. in biology or related science required.

SCIENTIST, BIOPHARMACEUTICAL SUPPORT SERVICES (#251)
M.S. with 5 years experience or Ph.D with 3 years experience with strong molecular biology techniques including experience with nucleic acid work.  Computer skills, database knowledge and documentation experience a plus. Responsibilities include performing radioactive ribonuclease protection assays and data analysis.  M.S. or Ph.D. in biology or related science required.

SENIOR TECHNICAL SERVICE REPRESENTATIVES (#000 & 267)
Challenging opportunity for scientist with a strong theoretical background and hands-on experience in immunology, cell biology and cytokine biology.  Responsibilities include responding to customer technical inquiries, providing advanced technical support, assist with writing and editing technical marketing literature and interaction with product development and QC departments.  Excellent verbal and writtn communication skills a must.  Ph.D, M.S. or B.S. in immunology or related science and a minimum of 5 years lab experience required.  (Four positions are available.)

TISSUE CULTURE TECHNICIAN, GMP (#250)
Requires 1 to 3 years experience in tissue culture including roller-bottle and hollow-fiber bioreactor.  Ascites, buffer and GMP experience preferred.  B.S. degree in a biological science required.

TISSUE CULTURE TECHNICIAN,  RESEARCH IMMUNOCYTOMETRY  (#252)
Minimum 0 to 1 years experience in manufacturing environment.  Previous experience in tissue culture and/or sterile techniques desired.  Minimum High School diploma.   College course work in a 2 to 4 year degree program in science preferred.
