Sort Recovery/Yield

I have a BD VAntage with a TSO installed. Obtaining highly pure sorts
(>98%) is not a problem at any speed. The problem is recovery. I have
tried a multitude of settings to try to obtain a good recovery say >80%.
I am currently assesing recovery based on the % of the sorted fraction
still in the center stream. This is a bit different from the typical way
of determining sort recoveries.

Has anyone tried monitoring the center stream %'s in doing a sort
profile? Would someone like to try and see what they get? Try sorting
at even 5k/sec with a 20% sort population (use 2 drop sort and/or 3 drop
packet) and monitor the sort stream
purity and waste stream % at the same time over a range of drop delays.

I have found that the drop delay with the highest purity does not match
the drop delay with the lowest % in the center stream.

If anyone would try this and let me know it would be appreciated.

If you feel this is absurd, try anyway.

Let me now
